Why did you choose to become an internal medicine doctor?
I became an Internal Medicine doctor because I enjoyed the broad scope of practice in Internal Medicine. I also enjoyed being able to really get to know my patients and being an advocate for their health.
How would you describe the ideal patient/provider relationship?
One based on mutual trust and respect. I believe that patients teach us as much as we teach them, it is a very special bond that we get to develop with our patients.
Is there anything about your personal history or background that you believe has made you a better healthcare provider?
Taking care of sick family members and being in the caretaker role has made me a better healthcare provider.
Why did you decide to start your own private practice?
I decided to start my own private practice so I can spend as much time as I need to provide the highest quality care for my patients. I choose quality over quantity and am dedicated to providing only the best quality care.
What do you like to do when you're not working--hobbies, interests, etc.?
Gardening, traveling, spending time with my husband and our 2 dogs.
